ECI-AGO is proud to present its second Pedals, Pipes, and Pizza, an afternoon that will introduce the organ to young keyboardists of all levels. More information here.
February 9, 4pm Michael Keeley, organ, followed by choral evensong
Michael Keeley, former professor of organ at the University of Illinois, will perform a recital as part of the Chapel of St. John the Divine's Sunday Monthly Concert Series. Following his recital will be an evensong led by the Chapel's Cantebury Choir.
February 22, noon BACH: Young Baroque Artists Competition
A competition for young musicians from 13 to 18 years of age, the YBAC aims to foster interest in the music of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries and to encourage young musical talent. Winners are awarded cash prizes and will perform at the YBAC Winners Concert on April 13, 2014. Application forms are available here.

Baroque violinist Elizabeth Field joins UIUC faculty harpischordist Charlotte Mattax in a performance of French Baroque works in Smith Recital Hall.
March 9, 3:00pm BACH: Handel Anthems
The chorus of the Baroque Artists of Champaign-Urbana (BACH), directed by Chester Alwes, presents Handel's Funeral Anthem for Queen Caroline and Let God Arise at McKinley Presbyterian Church. $20 adults | $10 students
March 16, 7:30pm Concerto Urbano: Handel Acis & Galatea
Concerto Urbano, the period instrument ensemble at UIUC under the direction of Philip Johnston and Charlotte Mattax, and a chamber chorus from the UI Chorale, directed by Kristina Boerger, performs Handel's opera Acis & Galatea at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts.

UIUC faculty harpischordist Charlotte Mattax performs a solo recital at the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts.
April 13, 7:30pm BACH: YBAC Winner's Concert & Handel Messiah Sing-Along
The winners of the Young Baroque Artists's Competition will perform solo works, and the chorus of the Baroque Artists of Champaign-Urbana (BACH), directed by Chester Alwes, will lead a sing-along of Handel's Messiah, parts two and three, at McKinley Presbyterian Church. $10 general
May 11, 4pm Kevin Chunko, organ
May 25, 7:30pm BACH: Purcell Dido & Aeneas
The Baroque Artists of Champaign-Urbana, directed by Philip Johnston and Chester Alwes, will present a performance of Purcell's opera Dido and Aeneas. Special venue TBA. Singers include sopranos Alexandra Nowakowski and Anastasia Malliaras. $20 adults | $10 students
